Sugarcane farmers staged a demonstration along Gaur-Chandranigahapur road on Monday demanding the resumption of operation at Garuda Municipality-4 based Shriram Sugar Mill. They also demanded payment of their dues receivable from the mill. They have been protesting since the past three days due to which vehicles heading Gaur have been stranded. 325 labours lost their job afte Shriram Sugar Mill which had been operating since the past  26 years was shutdown citing loss.
