Police arrested 45-year-old Basistha Adhikari of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan-4, Dang, on October 4, on the charge of raping a 31-year-old woman. Adhikari, the mess in-charge of Samrat Cement Industry, Ghorahi raped an employee of the cement factory.

According to the Police Inspector Rajan Poudel, the victim had lodged a complaint at Ward Police Office, Lamahi, on October 1. The victim accused that Adhikari had raped her several times before and she was last raped on September 29. She also added that she had lodged the complaint late after receiving death threats from Basistha. Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences on September 30.
