Nepal Students Union (NSU) Bajhang staged a demonstration demanding the protection of the life of Dr Govinda KC, blaming the government’s insensitiveness towards fulfilling his demands. Participants in the demonstration marched around the district headquarters, Chainpur Bazaar, chanting slogans such as "Save KC's life, listen to KC's demands, and re-appoint Kulman Ghising".

The student leaders accused the current government of corruption, nepotism and favouritism and announced to the forefront any kind of movement against it.
