Police have arrested 63-year-old Uttam Giri of Lalitpur Metropolitan-23, Dhapakhel, on October 5, on a charge of sexually abusing a 14-year-old child. The relatives of the victim had lodged a complaint at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, on September 23,  alleging that the accused had sexually abused the child on September 22, by showing fear.

According to the DSP Mitrabandhu Sharma, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, the accused was arrested on October 5, on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim. Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Patan Hospital on October 5.
