Police,  on October 11. arrested 28-year-old Samir Chaudhary of Bardagoria Rural Municipality-6, Rampur on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.

According to the victim's aunt, Chaudhary raped her while she was on the way to her home from the field on October 10. They lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Sukhad on October 11.

According to DSP Sagar Bohara of the Area Police Office, Sukhad, the accused was arrested on October 11 and sent to the District Police Office, Kailali for further investigation. 

The victim has been examined at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on October 12.
