Police have arrested 30-year-old Dilkhus Mandal of Kalyanpur Municipality-1 on October 14  on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl.

According to the victim's side, the accused raped the girl on September 24 and the locals were late in filing the complaint as they were trying to reconcile in the village.

The victim's father had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya on October 14. The girl has been examined at the District Hospital, Siraha on October 14.
