Disputes started again in Bariyarpatti rural municipality of Siraha as the Chairman Mahato is accused of taking the lone decision in choosing the plan, not having financial transparency and setting the date of the council without any discussion.
Deputy Chief Rekha Kumari Yadav and Ward Chairpersons, Chairman of Ward 1, Newalal Yadav and Chairman of Ward 4, Navin Yadav locked the rural municipality office on Saturday, October 17. Deputy Chief Yadav said that the lockout will continue till the problem is resolved.
Meanwhile, Chairman Mahato said that the date of the council was decided to be held on Sunday and the deputy chief and some ward chairmen locked the door without informing them after various quarrels.
Due to the lack of a council, the rural municipality employees are deprived of their salaries. Even the employees are dissatisfied with the people's representatives as they have not received their salaries even when the festivals are approaching.
