Youths in Siraha staged a protest against the increasing number of rape incidents in the country wearing black T-shirts and black bands on their heads, carrying placards with various slogans in the main streets of the district headquarters on the first day of Dashain, October 17.
The protest was held against the daily ongoing rape incidents in the country and also against the Panchayat for acquitting the perpetrators of rape in Siraha district.
The protesting youths chanted anti-rape slogans urging the government to take strict action against rapists. They even collected signatures during the protest.
