Police have arrested Naya Prasad Chaulagain, 32, of Ghodaghodi Municipality-2 on October 27 on the charge of raping a 34-year-old woman on October 26.

DSP Sagar Bohora of District Police office, Kailali informed INSEC district representative that accused was arrested as per the complaint filed by victim on October 27 at Area Police office, Sukhad stating accused raped the victim while sleeping alone at home at night.

According to DSP Pratik Bista of District Police office, Kailali case will be filed against accused on October 28 for further investigation.

As per the police victim woman’s health checkup was conducted at Seti Provincial hospital, Dhangadi on October 27.
