Parents of students in Juddha Secondary School in Gaur, Rautahat staged a protest after the school started charging high fees from students under various pretexts and even ask for the fees when the classes were not conducted due to the lockdown. The parents and students' organization submitted a memorandum to the District Administration Office, Rautahat, demanding that all the fees be waived and the fees collected from the students be refunded.
Ten years ago, the parents had set the minimum fee for English medium education in the school, but after the formation of the local government, former experienced teachers were removed and their own people were recruited and heavy fees were imposed on the students. After the school started charging high fees. The school on the other hand claimed that the fee was collected as the number of teachers in the school is less than the number of students.
