A man has attacked his wife and daughter with acid in Dhanusha. The residents of Janakpur Sub-Metro City-20, Aarti Sah, 21, and her daughter Riya Sah, 3, living in Janakinagar, Janakpur Sub-MetroCity-7, were attacked by acid on Saturday morning.
The couple had been living separately recently. Sanjiv, 24, who reached his wife’s room on Saturday morning, attacked wife and daughter with acid, said Rajesh Sigdel, Inspector at the District Police Office, Dhanusha.
Aarti has acid on various parts of her body including her face, abdomen, and chest. Sigdel said the acid burned 20 percent of her body and her condition was serious.
Daughter Riya has acid on her head and left hand. The mother is undergoing treatment at Janaki Health Care and Teaching Hospital, Janakpur, police said.
According to Police Inspector Sigdel, Sanjiv, who had absconded attacking his wife and daughter with acid, was arrested at Sankatmochan Higher Secondary School, Janakpur-4.
