30-year-old Devraj Khadka, secretary of Namadi Road Users' Committee and resident of Namadi in Gokulganga Rural Municipality-5, was beaten by 35-year-old Kazi Bahadur Khadka, chairman of Tarun Dal Ramechhap on November 17.
Chairman Khadka had pressured the road construction consumer committee to use his dozer for the construction of the road to connect to Namadi Base, which is being constructed from the budget of the Bagmati state government. When Khadka was alone at Namadi Bazar, Kazi Bahadur and others physically attacked him.
Secretary Devraj, who sustained head injuries in the attack, is being treated at Tamakoshi Hospital in Manthali. The victim lodged an FIR against 36-year-old Deepak Khadka and 30-year-old Suman Khadka, including the Chairman Kazi Bahadur.
