NAWALPARASI, Nov 21: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of raping a teenage girl. They were arrested from Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.

Those arrested are Krishna Gupta and Kishan Kewat, according to Police inspector Rajiv Shrestha of the District Police Office. The heinous act was reportedly committed on November 12 when the girl had gone to fetch water from a nearby tap at night.

The boys forcibly took the girl to a nearby garden and raped her, according to the mother of the rape victim. The two boys were arrested based on a complaint filed against them. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
