Police have arrested 21-year-old Harisharan Giri of Manahari Rural Municipality-9, Makwanpur,  on Tuesday, on the charge of raping a 2-year-old child.

Giri had taken the child into her house on November 30  evening by luring her he would buy chocolates.

According to the police, the mother saw him raping her child and informed the locals. Area Police Office, Manahari said further investigation is underway upon the incident.
