Province 1, Sunsari, Dewanganj
The Nepal-India Open Border Dialogue Group staged an indefinite sit-in against the governments of Nepal and India to open the sealed border in the Devanganj Rural municipality of Sunsari on December 6.
The group alleged that the sealed border has affected the religious, cultural and political relations with India in the name of preventing the spread of Covid-19. The legal closure of the Nepal-India border for the last nine months has affected not only Nepal-India trade and business but also social and cultural relations. Of Nepal's 27 ports, 25 are connected to India
