An ASI of the Armed Police Force has been accused of trying to rape a 12-year-old girl.

According to the victim's family, Surya Katuwal, ASI of Border Security at Gauriganj Rural Municiplaity-2, Korobari, under the Kunjibari Border Observation Post (BOP) of the Armed Police Force, tried to rape the girl from the marginalized community. 

Katuwal tried to rape the girl by entering her house at around 9:30 pm on Sunday night.

SP Ramesh Kumar Pandey said we are conducting an internal investigation and if found guilty action will be taken according to the law,
