The riders of Pathao have been protesting since December 21 putting forth a 13 points demand. They have staged a sit-in with bikes in front of Pathao's office premises in Baneshwor demanding that both the rider and the passenger should be insured, the commission rate should be reduced and the rider should have prior notice before being suspended. 

They have also demanded that not only the passengers but also the riders should be listened to, the due payment should be made from Rs 500 to Rs 100 and the customer care number should be toll-free. They also chanted slogans such as "Rider can't be killed, fulfil our demand" and are likely to continue the agitation till the demands are met.
