Employees of Aarti Strip Pvt. Ltd. who were dismissed from work held a sit-in in front of the company in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-1 of Morang on January 5 after the industry disobeyed the letter sent by the Labour Office on December 27 to reinstate the workers by not allowing them to enter.

The labour leaders demanded that the industry should not be permitted to fire the workers and they should be reinstated on the basis of their affiliation to the Nepal Factory Workers Union Unit Committee. They have been protesting saying that the industry has repeatedly fired 184 workers without informing them.
