Lumbini, Kapilbastu, Banganga, Ward 5
Locals of Banganga Municipality-5, Loharibagiya Baikunthapur, have been agitated after a group including the chairmen of wards 2 and 5 of Banganga Municipality started construction work of crusher industry against the standards at a distance of 100 meters from the river and 200 meters from the settlement.
There is a rule that industries cannot be operated at a distance of 500 meters from human settlements and there is a school near the site of the industry's operation, which will affect the education of the children. The local struggle committee organized a joint village meeting and put pressure to stop the construction work immediately. They are outraged that the industry operators and people's representatives were not present at the meeting.
