Locals padlocked the health department of 28 municipalities in Dailekha and the office of Mayor Khadkaraj Upadhyaya on January 17 for distributing that expired medicines through the connivance of the municipality and the local pharmacy.
They alleged that the medicine was procured and distributed in the ward through the connivance of health branch coordinator Devraj Timilsina and director of Rara Polyclinic and JN Pharmacy Jivananda Mehta.
Various medicines were distributed in ward No. 4 on January 1. During the monitoring of the drug by the working committee of the Nepali Congress, it was found that one month expired drugs were distributed.
