Province 1, Morang, Biratnagar
Local residents of Biratnagar staged a demonstration on Sunday, demanding easy movement at Nepal-India Rani border. According to Rajan Shrestha, coordinator of Hotel Association Province 1, though the government has decided to open the border checkpoint, there is a problem in fulfilling the protocol.
Chief District Officer of Morang, Koshahari Niraula, said that the government has not fully opened the border but in the case of Nepali citizens, arrangements have been made to allow them to enter Nepal only after a health examination by keeping the necessary records.
