The victims of Deko, Miwa and Itapake land integration of Bhaktapur, have staged a sit-in at the project office in Nashpukhu and Bhaktapur Municipality on February 7 accusing the landlords of trying to make them landless after the project cut 60-80% of the land in the name of the contribution. The land consolidation is run by Bhaktapur Municipality since 2016.
The victims have been agitating for a month now demanding respectful implementation of land consolidation, immediate abolition of arbitrary land distribution, implementation of existing norms in Salaghari Nagarkot road section, and modernization of the project.
