Police have arrested 19-year-old Pradip Gharti of Bardaghat Municipality-4, West Nawalparasi, on February 10, on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.

The victim’s side had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office, Bardaghat, on February 9, alleging that the accused raped the victim on the same date. Inspector Kapil Wagle said that they are investigating upon the accused based on complaint lodged.

Health check-up of the victim was conducted at Prithvi-Chandra District Hospital, on February 9.
