27-year-old Himal Thami of Lapilang, Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-6 of Dolakha, was arrested on the charge of killing his 21-year-old  wife Sunita Thami by attacking her with a khukuri on February 20. The wife died from a severe head injury. Police are further investigating the incident.

The deceased was the second wife of the accused. According to locals, Himal Thami's first wife committed suicide by hanging herself a few years ago.
