Landslide victims of Jurey from Balefi village of Sindhupalchowk staged a demonstration at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on February 20 demanding rehabilitation. They demanded the government to immediately distribute Rs. 22.4 million collected in their name.
In 2014, 145 people were killed and many others were injured in a landslide in Sunkoshi. The government has not informed the families of the landslide victims about the amount of money collected in the name of the landslide victims and spent the money elsewhere six years ago.
