Man arrested on charge of abduction and rape attempt in Kathmandu

Police have arrested 34-year-old Deepak Gautam of Galkot Municipality-3 Baglung who is accused of attempting to rape a 20-year-old girl by holding her hostage at a guest house in Tokha. According to police Gautam abducted the girl from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 Koteshwor and tried to rape her on December 20, 2020.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, police arrested the accused on February 24 from Gongabu.
