Representatives of civil society under the 'Brihat Nagarik Andolan' staged a sit-in in front of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Office in Sundhara against the ongoing 'regression' in the name of development. The sit-in was carried out in the presence of representatives of the Valley-wide Road Expansion Victims' Struggle Committee and Newa: Dey Dabu.

They also demanded to rehabilitate those who were displaced during the Balaju bypass road expansion. They have been opposing the road expansion to uplift the locals and have also emphasized the protection of heritage. On Friday, they demolished a concrete structure at Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu.
