A young woman has staged a silent strike at Maiti Ghar in Kathmandu for 1-week demanding the death penalty or life imprisonment for rape convicts.
The government is unaware of the demands of the women even though it has reached its sixth day today (Tuesday).
Stating that the murderers and rapists have been acquitted due to the recent spate of murders, violence, and rapes against women in Nepal, the woman has started a silent strike saying that the provision of severe punishment for rapists should be mentioned in the constitution.
