A 60-year-old woman of Ratuwamai Municipality-2 in Morang was brutally beaten on allegation of practising witchcraft. The elderly woman sustained serious injuries as she was attacked inhumanely and beaten with sticks on March 12.
The victim's husband lodged the complaint against the accused family. The accused five members are identified as 65-year-old Bhim Lal Singh Gangai, 60-year-old Jitan Lal Singh Gangai, 50-year-old Lakhan Lal Singh Gangai, 27-year-old Laxmi Prasad Singh Gangai and 19-year-old Hairani Gangai. According to the police, the victim was attacked over her dispute with Punam Devi Gangai, sister of Hairani Gangai.
