A group of taxi drivers has brutally beaten a Pathao rider in the new bus park of Kathmandu on March 22, alleging the Pathao of offering passengers a cheaper fare in comparison to the taxis. According to the police, seven taxi drivers and the rider were taken under control for a while and released in the evening. The dispute erupted after a passenger tried to book a Pathao ride rather than taking a taxi that would cost double the fare.

Meanwhile, Pathao said the beating of the rider was a serious incident and demanded the government to take action against the culprit and guarantee security.
