LAHAN, March 27: A doctor has been arrested on the charge of sexually harassing a woman at Chinnamasta Hospital in Rajbiraj of Saptari district.
Dr Rajan Jaswal was arrested on Friday night on the charge of sexually harassing a 25-year-old woman, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajendra Prasad Dhamala of the District Police Office, Saptari.
The woman had visited the hospital for a health check-up of the newborn of her sister-in-law.
The woman has accused Dr Jaswal of sexually harassing her in his cabin. Dr Jaswal touched sensitive parts of the woman and tried to take off her blouse, according to the statement recorded by the woman.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said SP Dhamala.
Meanwhile, the hospital has already suspended Dr Jaswal for his ‘misconduct’ in the hospital.
However, Dr Jaswal has claimed that the accusation made against him is false.
