Hundreds of people staged a protest in the Toumdhi area of Bhaktapur-7 on April 5 against the decision of district-level Covid-19 Crisis Management Operations Center (CCMC) to stop the famous Biska Jatra in Bhaktapur. Protestors carried placards and demanded that there should be a famous Bisca Jatra and a tongue piercing Jatra in Bhaktapur.
They expressed their indignation, saying that the processions and festivals of the Nepali-speaking community cannot be stopped under the pretext of Covid 19. They also raised the question of no such Covid restrictions during political meetings and rallies.
