A complaint was lodged against 34-year-old Suman Pandey of Khandbari Municipality-8 at the District Police Office on April 11 on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl.

According to police, the victim's family lodged a complaint against the accused of raping the girl on October 31, 2020. The accused absconded immediately after the incident and a search for the accused was started on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.

The girl has been examined at the District Hospital on April 9 and it was revealed that the girl was seven months pregnant during the health check-up.
