According to the acting chief administrative officer of the Helambu rural municipality of Sindhupalchowk district, 18 people were found to be COVID-19 infected while testing the swab samples of 40 people in contact tracing. A prohibitory order is issued in the rural municipality area from April 28 until further notice after the infection was detected.
The officer informed that except for the most urgent cases, movement, meetings, gatherings, educational institutions, banks and financial institutions, religious gatherings and transportation have also been stopped. The infection has been confirmed in the municipality's employees, bank employees, and others.
