A clash broke between the municipal police and locals over the issue of clearing encroached land in Lahan Municipality-5 on the bank of the Khutti river. Three policemen and two locals were injured in the clash.

The injured are the municipal policemen Manoj Yadav, Ram Dayal Mahato, Ram Bharosi Yadav, and sanitation workers Bablu Mehtar and Anita Mehtar. Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Khemananda Bhushal, said that the encroached house was evacuated by the dozer after they did not follow the repeated written and verbal instructions to remove the slum.
