Police arrested 44-year-old  Meena Tamang on May 24 on the charge of assaulting and injuring her  84-year-old elder sister-in-law Laxmi Maya Tamang of Dadegonda in Bhojpur Municipality-12. According to police, on May 23, Meena attacked Maya with a wooden plank, leaving her with serious neck injuries.

The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on May 23 on the basis of which police arrested the accused from Bhojpur Municipality-12 for further investigation.
