Shivani Yadav, a nine-year-old girl, daughter of Ram Udgar Yadav of Dakneshwari Municipality-3 Tarahi was found brutally murdered in Saptari on June 20. According to family members, Shivani had left home with her five-year-old sister to graze goats. According to the locals, Shivani sent her sister home after it started raining, and was murdered while she was picking the mangoes in the garden. Her body is sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for postmortem.

Police on June 20 arrested 19-year-old Rohit Kumar Yadav and Raju Yadav on the basis of suspicion of their involvement in the murder case.
The autopsy was conducted at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on June 19. After Rohit was arrested on the charge of murder after sexual abuse, Raju was taken under control today for further investigation, said Saptari Police. It has been revealed that Rohit is the main accused in the murder and further investigation is underway on the suspicion that he may be an accomplice.
