Ravi Shankar Kumar Pandit, a 15-year-old child of Nanupatti in Shahid Nagar Municipality-4 of Dhanusha is allegedly kept in custody by the police on the charge of theft, and beaten by the police on June 25. The child has swollen feet, toes, toes, and bruises on the soles of the feet. The injured child is undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpurdham.
The theft took place at Manish Gupta's house in Shahid Nagar-3, Yadukuha on June 25. Police during interrogation allegedly beat the child. Ravi Shankar said that he used to go to Manish Gupta's house to deliver milk but he did not steal anything.
Meanwhile, the boy's father said that it was a great injustice to take his minor son to the police station when his guardians were not at home and beat him. He further stated that his son has been beaten by a pipe.
