Students studying in the horticulture faculty of Mahendra Ratna Multipurpose Campus (Marab) have become agitated citing that they have not been allowed to participate in exams related to various agricultural subjects taken by the Public Service Commission even after completing the credit hours. Secretary of the Horticulture Struggle Committee Mahima Gautam said that the students protested by placing a banner at the gate of the campus.
The students have submitted their demands to the campus administration saying that they will continue a phased creative protest until the demands are addressed. They have demanded two points for ensuring public service in agriculture service group horticulture, agricultural extension, crop protection, soil science and crop development, and getting an MSc in agriculture from the University of Agriculture and Forest Sciences.
