Teachers of Arghakhanchi staged a sit-in at Education Development and Coordination Unit, Arghakhanchi on July 9 demanding immediate provision of vaccines for teachers, staff and students, provision of remuneration for child development teachers, school staff and support staff as per the federal government's budget, and mandatory representation of teachers' professional associations in the formulation of educational plans at the municipal level.
The program was conducted by Laxman Wali of the All Nepal Teachers Association. Teachers had staged a three-hour sit-in at 753 local levels across the country, including six local levels of Arghakhanchi, on July 2 organized by the Nepal Teachers Federation.
