Contractors padlocked the Lamahi municipal office alleging the office of trying to collect double tax. Due to the padlocking, employees are locked inside the office. They put two locks on the municipal administration and one on the main entrance. The entrance of the ward office of Ward No. 5 is also been padlocked.

The contract was awarded as per the plan to blacktop the roads of Ward No. 6, 7 and 8 of Lamahi Municipality. The contractors had paved the road by buying stones from the suppliers of Rolpa, Pyuthan and other municipalities. Even though they submitted the VAT bill to the municipality, they padlocked the office after the employees said it should be the VAT bill of the municipality.
