People's representatives and Nepali Congress cadres allegedly abused the mayor of Bhadrapur Municipality Jeevan Kumar Shresth using abusive words, Mayor Shrestha had reached the vaccination centre of Ward Office No. 5 at 4 pm on July 28 after receiving complaints that people outside the age group specified by the government were being vaccinated.

Mayor Shrestha said that when he reached the vaccination centre, the daughter of Rita Dahal, a woman ward member of ward no. 5, was coming out after being vaccinated while the 55-year-old citizens were waiting in line outside the centre to get vaccinated. And when he tried to intervene, the cadres gathered there allegedly used abusive language and insulted him.
