Part-time professors have padlocked the Tribhuvan University for the past week. Due to the padlocking in the office of the Service Commission including the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Rector, the academic and administrative activities of the university have come to a standstill. The locks on these bodies have disrupted the work of about two dozen offices. The online teaching of more than 60 affiliated campuses has also been affected as only part-time professors have participated in the movement.
Since July 23, part-time professors have padlocked the important bodies of Tribhuvan University demanding a contract. Partial professors said that there was no attempt for talks and discussions for a week.
