Locals led by Ward Chairman Yadunath Sharma Banstola padlocked the main gate of Kushma Municipality-2 on August 1 in protest of not getting the ward secretary for a long time. The people of Khurkot, who came with the people's representatives of the ward, allege the mayor, deputy mayor and chief administrative officer for not appointing the secretary for nine months despite repeated demands. Ward Chairman Yadunath Sharma Bastola has complained that there is a problem with daily administrative work due to the absence of the secretary.
