Relatives of the deceased patient vandalized the Golden Hospital in Biratnagar on August 2 after the death of a patient who had come for treatment. Ahmed Hussain, a 67-year-old resident of Dhanpalathan Rural Municipality-6, Kadmaha, Morang, died after being his surgery.
According to the hospital, the family members and relatives of the deceased vandalized the Hospital at around 10:15 pm and also chanted slogans demanding compensation to the victim's family and action against the doctor's negligence in the operation.
Mehta, an administrative officer of the hospital, said that two windows of the hospital counter were damaged when the relatives and family members of the deceased gathered in the number of 25/30 people vandalized the hospital. According to him, the condition of the hospital became tense after the angry mob vandalized the building and assaulted the staff and security guards. Morang police arrested seven people on the charge of vandalism and assault.
