Sudurpashchim, Kailali, Dhangadhi, Ward 3
Thirteen policemen were injured in a clash between locals and police on August 5 regarding opening a drain of still water in a settlement of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-3. According to police, the clash took place after the residents of Ward No. 2 obstructed the police by throwing stones at them while draining the still water. Police had to use more than 50 rounds of tear gas to control the tense situation, the official said.
Attempts were made to drain the still water in Ward 2 on the initiative of the police as the substation of Nepal Electricity Authority in Ward No. 3 would be inundated due to lack of drainage of the water.
