The former British Gurkha Joint Struggle Committee staged a demonstration in the capital on August 19 in support of the Nepalese who are on a hunger strike in the UK demanding equality in salaries, allowances and services and facilities. The committee demanded protection of the lives of the starving people as their lives are in danger.
The struggle committee staged a protest saying that the British government and the Nepali government are not interested in meeting the demands despite Gyan Raj Rai, Pushpa Ghale and Dhan Bahadur Gurung has been on a hunger strike in front of the British Prime Minister's Office for 14 days.
