The dead body of a 16-year-old, Niru BK was found in devastating condition at a cornfield in Khadchakra Municipality-6, Kalikot. She had left home for the temple on 21st August and was missing for the last 4 days. Her body parts were found dismantled and eaten by wild animals. According to Police, there is no lower body part and maggots have started to devour the upper body parts.  The locals have speculated on murder after being raped. The body is kept in the District Hospital for postmortem. Details will be known only after the postmortem report comes out. The police have sent a special team from the district and provincial office for further investigation.

Ratna Kami, the father of the victim lodged a complaint on August 25 alleging that his daughter was raped and murdered.
