Health workers stage a sit-in in Dang demanding justice for fellow doctor

The health workers staged a sit-in at Area Police Office- Tulsipur on August 28 after the police were unable to get hold of the accused in 24 hours, who were charged with smearing black soot on Acting Medical Superintendent of Rapti Provincial Hospital Dr Binod Singh on August 27. A group of 4-5 youths including Sarjan Pariyar, Diwas Chhetri and Ganesh Khadka smeared a black shoot on Dr Singh over a dispute related to the availability of culture services in the hospital. 

The health workers only resumed emergency services by tying a black ribbon on their arms protesting against the incident. They also warned of organizing a march in the city on August 29 morning if the concerned authorities couldn't take the accused into custody. 

Meanwhile, the  District Chief of Nepal Police-Dang mentioned that the police could not arrest the accused in time as all of them were outside the district. Also, he pointed towards the hospital's weakness of not giving the information on time.  One of the culprits. Sarjan Pariyar showed himself on Facebook Live on Saturday morning, where he mentioned that they did the act against the irregularities in the hospital.
