Journalists stage a demonstration in Gaur demanding to take action against Narayan Prasad Chimoriya, Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office, Rautahat, who was found guilty of trapping a journalist in a false drug smuggling case.
Journalist's demanded that DSP Chimoriya should be suspended and a case should be filed against him on the charge of drugs smuggling. Addressing the gathering, Shailendra Jha, a member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) State Committee, demanded legal action against those involved in the heinous act of trapping innocent journalist. Shailendra Gupta, former president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Rautahat, said that the incident should be investigated impartially as it can be estimated that some innocent people have been convicted and jailed.
